    I lolled @ the cucumbers.. Mine never last that long :) The ancistruss never leave them alone when I have them in

    those few tanks are just to give ideas of what can be done with a little bit of cheap lighting.

    Nice, I'm amazed their wasn't anything munching the cucumbers at the time of the photos. I know if I put french cut green beans everyone goes nuts like it's a party!

    btw, they are zuchinni , not cucumbers. Zuchinni has more nutritional value than cucumbers

    oh, I thought they were cucumbers. My bust!
    I've only done the green beans. I'll have to try zuchinni next time I'm at the store.

    Some blanch the zuchs to get them to sink. I bent a piece of coat hangar to resemble a safety pin and rubber band it to a rock and feed mine raw. To pre empt another question, no the rusting iron from the hangar doesn't hurt the plants. At least it hasn't hurt mine in 9 years.

    thanks for the heads up..So it's a diy screwcumber (Screwcumber is the spiraly thing they are selling from the uk. on ebay).

    nice tanks, guess the plants might grow slower, than with compact HO lights?
