I am new to fish keeping and have a 75 gal tank with 4 koi that I just cannot seem to get right. The water is very cloudy after repeated water changes. I have even removed all gravel decorations in an attempt to get the water to clear up, but no luck. I also noticed today that it appears that 2 of the koi have lost some scales. I got the heater, filter, thermometer all setup. I let the tank sit for about a week, then added some Tetra's and a betta. Now, this is entirely my fault (I must have missed reading it when doing research), but I believe I got new tank syndrome. The day after I added the fish, the water was very cloudy. After some research and after I understood the cycling process, I saw the mistake I made by adding fish too early.
