I noticed something odd late last night, my yoyo loaches were skimming over the discus with their whiskers. Could they be trying to go after their slime coat? It sorta looks like their giving the discus a once over?
Just curiousity on their part, or reason for concern?

For now, they've been pulled into the 20 divider until I find out for sure if they could be causing the discus harm...which I'm thinking not, but I don't want to take any chances.

ps. these are ADULT sized well fed YoYo...

I have fallen in love with the clown loach. 3 tanks...which one do you think they would be best suited in. I'm thinking of getting 3 since they like to be in small groups.

The south african cichlid tank 55 gal(has about 15 assorted fishies and 1 pleco)

the south american tank 55 gal( 1 severum, 1 green terror, and 1 convict)

or the community tank-40 gal, which i believe is already fully stocked- 1 gourami, 9 assorted barbs, 1 pleco, 1 dwarf african frog, 2 mollies)

I guess my question...

You all know I am setting up my 75g for my clown loaches and the biggest one I have is 4in. I know they grow slowly after reaching that length so my question is.... would it be feasable to create a sort of vivarium type of tank?
I know that the clowns are from fast moving streams but I cannot find any info on just how deep these streams are, so my thought is to give them plenty of fresh moderatly moving water about 12in deep and have plants that grow on some sort of a land mass and...

I have a yoyo loach about a year old. He is in a peaceful tank, and all seems well.
I went away for a few days, and when I returned, he was missing an eye. He has
no injuries, is very active, and eats very well. I checked the water, and everything
is in good shape. Is this weird or what? Has anyone else had this happen?
