    Kids tank

I'm going to get my daughter a 10g FW tank for christmas. Any ideas on what kind of fish to get. I was thinking of those glowfish at petco or petsmart. I really want to get a few dwarf puffers but I don't think thats going to happen. I want something with a lot of color.

How old is she ? Guppies are easy colorful fish. They're very common though.

shes 5 so it has to be something easy to maintain because my ex-wife isnt going to do anything with it. My 14 yr old will probably be doing the maintenance on it. She wants to be a marine biologist so it's a good place for her to start.

Zebra Danios are pretty cool looking and are easy to keep. You could do a few of those and some Glowlight's.

danios tend to leap out of 10 gallons, just a forewarning, I agree, a nice school of smaller tetras will look great!

    Re: Kids tank

No it really cant. A 20H can hold. A 10 and a 20 are too short for an Angel.

    Angels can have a 20H, a 29, a 30L etc....

    Re: Kids tank

Angels need at least 30G.....a 20H could suffice since it is a tall tank.
