Nice looking tank, it looks very natural. What's that in the front center of the tank to the left of the loaches ?

It is actually a red tiger lotus that for some reason will not grow taller. If you look at my other planted tank the lotus is going crazy in there. Guess it helps with high light and co2. Thank you for all the replies.

That is the look I am going for in my 150 - very nice. I think the lotus is just too far away from the light with that much water in between it and the light - same thing for me in my 150. The deeper tanks are trickier in that regard.

You could build a terrace and plant it up closer to the light source, or put it in a pot and put the pot up on a piece of driftwood or something if you want to encourage it.

    Nice work!

Not sure. I have not tried to breed them yet. I have to many other fish breeding right now to mess with them.

Actually Dawn he stated a ways down it has low light and no CO2 which is why he thinks the Lotus wont grow in it.

I have an algae scraper I got from fosters and smith for like 8.00 bucks and try to use it at least once a week.

I got one of them too, but it's hard for me to reach the back and further back of the side walls of the tank being that I am rather short. I have the mag float which with how my tank is tucked into the corners ...is able to reach the front and about 3-4" of the front of the sides. Yours is very nice though :)

Cover the back of the tank with jungle vals and let it fill in. No more algae. Sight unseen.

Already going that route....I tried the Jungle vals before along the back, they didn't do well so I ended up transferring them to the mid section in front of my greek vase thingey...I currently have purple cambomba's (sp.?) back there that are taking off like rockets.
