All photos taken tonight via phone. Have had this setup since July, upgraded from a 54 corner tank and have been tinkering with the substrate, left it at half and half for now. Running 2 eheim 2217's and a 400 bio wheel.

I have acquired some big water fish the past couple months, and also have a 300 gallon tank waiting in the works for the big guys when i move out of my current living situation since it wont fit anywhere!! Can anyone identify the fish in the last pic???

125 as of tonight... turkey day 2009

Looks nice! I like the ?Caribsea African Cichlid Mix it seems you have in there..I'd do the entire tank with it though (but that's just me).

Just 1 quick question, I used the African Cichlid mix when I had Africans and found it really difficult to keep the substrate "white" portions...well...umm..white in color? Despite water changes mine always turned a light brownish and in the front would be green (algae). Do you find yourself having issues with light/white colored substrates?

VERY pretty fish. Africans surely do rival some of saltys when it comes to color!

I started with all black substrate, and wanted to see what the carib sea looked like... i just havent gotten around to take out the remaining black sub and add in the remaining 100lbs of cichlid sand yet [bfish]

Not at all, i vacuum anytime i see fish waste on top of the sand, so it doesnt have a chance to get mixed in and get discolored.
