Hello! I have been busy with work and life and have not been able to visit the forum lately, but I wanted to post a recent pic of the 150 tank, where my angels now reside after a protracted time in quarantine. They share space with a Planiloricaria cryptodon (spoonfaced whiptail catfish), a school of C. trilineatus cories, a pair of dwarf Ancistrus sp., a small school of cardinal tetras, and, of course, the Endler's that seem to have invaded every tank in the house! I am planning on increasing the number of cardinals, and I am also looking into Satanoperca leucosticta (what most would call a geophagus or jurupari) as tankmates for this setup.

Also, I obtained a proven pair of domestic angels from Lemondiscus a while back and they are happily cleaning leaves and doing their thing in a heavily planted 40-gallon, though no success yet. Their last batch of eggs were eaten, I presume. They'll get it together!

Here is the full tank shot:

Here is a closeup of the P. leopoldi angels:

I just visited an LFS in Lynchburg, called P.A.W., and got the wood for stoopid cheap. They have a most excellent selection of fish also - it is an extremely well run shop and very large. I find it amazing that Richmond does not support a shop like that, but Lynchburg does. I wish we had something like it locally.

Very nice tank. By the way I tried to find PAW on google maps and couldn't find it. Do you have any more info about the store?

No, not altums - these are P. leopoldi angels.

This setup has actually not really cost a fortune, though I already had a lot of the equipment for the tank on hand from other setups (pressurized CO2 system and lighting). I guess if I bought everything from scratch it would be expensive.

The tank itself was from Craig's List for a few hundred dollars, believe it or not. Play sand is about $3/lb, and the plants were cheap, and though I started with only a few and they have filled in.
