This is my new 180 set up.. with 10 red belly piranha.. Sorry the pics arent that good. i gonna get a better camera and take some pics. Mines 12.1 mega pixel but just wont take pics of these fish..

Still gotta add some more Black gravel.. Gotta pull the live plants out cause all they do is tear them out of the bottom and i end up scoopin it out..

yep. they only nip at a fin every now and then... nothing major.. been in there almost 2 years... they pretty much leave him alone.. i've heard of several people keeping plecos with rbp.

I woulda never thought to keep anything with them in all honesty, but they do look nice...and loving the large tank!
I would so have that bad boy planted EVERYWHERE...but then again I have community tank...not piranha's

well i would have it planted... but they tear it all up.. when they go on their frenzys... i buy live plants just to scoop the tops of them out of the tank the next day haha.. they will also eat the plants... yes.. they will eat them... they eat zuccini squash too.. I'm gonna go to an expo and get some plants they don't have enough nor large enough around here unless i ordered them.. then when they came in it probaly wouldn't be what i wnated. so i'm justwaiting... i,know it will look good when i put some long grass in there.

    one piece is like a dollar <a class="postlink" href="http://www.petsolutions.com/Jungle-Val+I99860+C71.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.petsolutions.com/Jungle-Val+I99860+C71.aspx</a>

(less than a dollar here), but any plant cost adds up quickly...unless its a fast grower and you grow it in a bucket first (like the cabomba I had before...stuff grew soo fast it quickly overtook the tank).

    your welcome !

my oldest boy (5) would just love your tank, for some reason he just loves piranha. evey time we go to the lfs he has to go see them before we leave.
