Tank one has 2 angels, 2 silver dollars. 2 danios, 3 clown loaches, a rainbow shark, and a pain in the butt pleco. Tank two has an assortment of rainbows a striped rapheal(hiding of course), and an asian catfish. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your silver dollar looks large (compared to the angel)

I am not too familiar with Silver Dollars, but I looked them up and it said they can get up to 6 inches. And I do know they are rather thin like an angelfish.

I would think Nelson would be right by you can add 1 or 3 more. Remember IF the shoal, they will pack themselves together. Angels really dont get too large themselves and you have a tall tank.

That "Fish Size to Fish Tank" is rather inaccurate and has exceptions both to allow an overstock for various reasons (Discus should be overstocked for social reasons inside the tank) and some you absolutely cannot add but 1 to almost every aquarium on the reasonable market (ie Oscars need at least a 75 gallon for just 1 fish)

Remember an overstock requires extra work for you.... more water changes.... watching water parameters more frequently and maybe some added filtration as that never hurts.

well i just might have to do that. I do weekly water changes anyway. oh yea and i like the sand much better then gravel. cant beat $3.99 for a 50lb bag at Lowes! it does reek havoc on my magnum 350 when the catfish burrow in the sand.

A bit more expensive $6 for about 30lbs but Walmart sells a GREAT sand. It is "Pool Filter Sand"

Same thing as the "Play Sand" but MUCH coarser. This fish can still burrow but the sand particles are large enough it wont form a cloud of sand. I put that down on top of the play sand. You would have to take some of it out as you have a thick layer of sand..... but in case you want to change substrates ever... that stuff is GREAT!

That place was awesome! It was great to see fish that we have at home in there natural environment. It was feeding time for the crocs, so that was pretty cool. The daughters didn't like it much though.
