29 gallon tank with no clue what to put in it.

I thought of saltwater at first, but realized it would be to much to get it started and then have to start over when I move in the fall. I have a 46 gallon tank now with mollies, swordtails, barbs, angelfish, catfish, and gourami. So i would really like to get something else, but I have no clue any help? Just realize I live in a small town and my best bet with a fish store is petco or petsmart.

I thought about it, but I wasn't sure how well that worked and where to order from.

works well, most trusted sellers offer a live arrival guarantee, and if your looking into cichlids I would recommend tangledupincichlids.com or a coupleother guys

Getting fish through the mail or any other courier is common practice and not anything to worry about. You will pay a little more but I find that liveaquaria or drs foster and smith is a GREAT company to deal with. They aren't the only ones though tangledupincichlids as mentioned is good for specifics but for a general idea, petsolutions or thatfishplace are also online dealers i have dealt with and had great experiences with.

I have gotten fish in less than an inch of water, all are still living. These fish were purchased on ebay and were not shipped in proper packaging, but they all survived!

Yeah sounds like it. I have been lucky with petsmart and petco with fish. The only thing is the variety of exoctic fish.

A well planted bottom and stock with fancy guppies and small shrimp such as cherry shrimp. Toss a black background on the back & the colors will pop :)
