Nothing special here.... got some brown algae on the tank and silicone down the middle where I once had a divider but decided to take down as it was more of a pain than it was worth.

I tried the homemade version of a divider for the 90 and all that it did was get brown algae for some reason, It was plexi glass from lowes that I drilled with like a million tiny holes. I curved it in the tank to make it fit tight as heck and aimed the spraybar in such a way that it would spray through the holes and circulate water through it. I have to say the plecos, shrimps, and snails loved sucking on it though.

Mine was that plastic sheet with the holes that is used for crafts.... People make ornaments and other things by stitching yarn through the holes...

Anthony: To me its a tiny tank! There is a 55 sitting right next to it and it dwarfs the 30 and the 20.... of course then there is the 125 downstairs and dwarfs everything. (you can see the 20 under this tank)

The brown algae does not really bother me too much. Especially because it is a breeding tank and not a show tank. It does not grow out of control like the blue green algae.

growout tanks! I was thinking about doing a 5 gallon tank in my bathroom, then I put my 40 gallon tank in there and solved that problem.

They are a 1.5 years old.... Yes, I have had about 20-30 spawns from them.... they are what helped me get my cardinal tetras for my tank.... they are fighting and eating eggs now though... next spawn gets removed. They actually just spawned Friday, but I had nowhere to move the eggs to (with the 55 being used for holding my 125 livestock over the weekend as the tank was being moved/cleaned)
