will this be too crowded of a tank.......I have 4 platys 1 molly 1 cory

i need to get prolly 2 more corys to be humane, plus i like them
    i want 2 more mollies
    and prolly 3 loaches

will all this this be ok for a 30 gal, theres lots of hiding spots, i was just wondering what you all think

30g (assuming your cycled and you do weekly water maint.)
If it were me I'd do a total of the following:
    3-4 corydoras
    3-4 kuhli loaches
the 4 platy will give you alot of fry if you have male/female
depending on the molly (sailfin=gorgeous, balloon=cute)..I'd say do 2-3 of them

But in place of the mollies you could do something more colorful such as:
    1)Dwarf Gourami & a couple Neon tetras
2)Honey Dwarf Gouramis are very colorful (have several myself)
3)Couple marble hatchetfish for your top layer
4)Tetras (too many to name them all)
    5)Variatus, Moons

ok thanks you, thats good news and yes, i am currently cycling and do 1 or 2 water changes weekly, so once everythings good to go, ill be adding fish, i might ditch the mollies, it reminds me of a beta to much, might check out the hatchet fish, but any more suggestestions would be great, the loaches/corys is a perfect bottom layer imo, its just another mid/top layer to go with the plattys

top layer would defin be the marbled hatchetfish

Mid layer I'd do something showy (dwarf Gourami/Honey Gourami)

i can just stick with the males, ok, i still bothers me that they would not tell me a thing about the fish, the one thing my town lacks is a good local fish store, i love your hatchetfish idea, i looked at some pics of them, they are awsome, and the cory are just so cool imo, and the loaches sound like na perfect choice for me, i like the suggestion on a larger middle layer fish, what is calm and larger that would fit happily into a 30 gal?would a pair of angelfish be too aggressive?

    nix the angelfish imo

Go for a dwarf gourami (or if they have the honey dwarfs that are bright goldeny sun yellow you could do 3 of them since they stay even smaller).

or a couple hi-fin serpae tetra (they get nice looking..can see them in my 90g..actually you can see both the honey gouramis and them)

truth is, doesn't matter>>just give them a place they can retreat as with any aquatic species
