55 gallon planning

    I'm looking at actually starting a community tank rather than another single-species tank. I'm thinking:

    3 spanner barbs
    3 odessa barbs
    5 black skirt tetra
    5 buenos aires tetra
    5 black kuhli loaches
    1 ruby shark
    trumpet snails

    I don't know if that leaves enough room for some cory cats or some sort of top-swimming minnow or danio assuming the spanner barbs won't kill a tiny topswimmer. Any thoughts?
