Snapped some pics today after I redid one of my tanks of the Diffusa. (formally known as Bridgesii) Please excuse a lot of the yuck, I ripped up A LOT of plants and am wating for it to all settle before doing a gravel vac and water change.

I like the ones with the burgandy/maroonish color shells!
Out of the snail world I like those & the golden/yellow mystery snails the best :)

There are a few gold ones in the tank but for some reason I have the hardest time keeping those and the pure whites alive.

when I had them it was baby fest in my tank! The only problem I had was the occassional shell disinigration (sp) and the parents always seeming to commit suicide by climbing out of the rear of the tank (even the smallest opening) and dropping to the floor.

When they try leaving the tank they are trying to get above the water line to lay eggs, drop your water level and this shouldn't happen. Shell erosion can be combated by feeding foods high in calcium, they have to eat it not get it from the water column, I feed baby food fortified with calcium.

i no longer have them, but my water level was always dropped well below the molding/trim. never thought of feeding baby food? Always did the hikari algae tabs when I had them and they would literally huddle over top of them.
Oh, and also tried cuttlebones (natural ones for birds as an experienced lfs rep said he used them for his to combat the shell erosion).

Just mix up some unflavored gelatin with some powdered calcium and baby food refrigerate until it hardens and vwalla snail food :)

i only have some random snail that came with my moss in my shrimp tank ._.
funny how snails can "walk" upside down on the water surface ._.
