well i have been keeping african cichids since i was 10... now im 18... lol
and i have been quite successful in breeding them as well! but i just dont know how they mix... i dont remember buying any yellow peacocks but ended up with a baby yellow peacock... here i have a pic of the tank 3-4 months ago... and its 2.30 am in the morning... i will take some photos tomorrow cause i dont want to disturb them... enjoy! :D

I like the tank, But wouldnt it be better if you do the 2 giants away? I think the other fish would apriciate it.

Further the tank is looking good ^^

thx for the comments! i ever thought of releasing them into a nearby pond but i just cant bear to let them go man... they have been with me for almost 3 years now... its kinda hard to let go of something you raised since they were little babies... just imagine from 3cm to 40cm long... i really cant bear to part with them... and besides... even with other cichilds in the same tank breeding... they really seem to accept each other very well! these 2 huge guys never tried to eat the babies at all! :)

Well then maybe upgrade the tank. I understand how you feel. I'd never do away even my 4 month old tetras :)

yea man... but i dont know what should i do with my pregnant shrimps... should i just leave them to give birth in the tank or catch them out and separate them into another container for them to give birth then releasing the mom back then the babies when their old enough?

i do this because im afraid the babies will get stuck on the pump... tho the holes are small enough to prevent them from getting into the system but im afraid they might not be strong enough to get themselves free from the suck-tion

sponge pre-filter. I have one on the xp4 as I was always finding shrimp in the canister.
