Hello all - I finally got some decent pics of the babies out of Frank & Agnes, better known here as LemonDiscus' angel pair that I got from him a while back.

Some of them are much larger than others and will be ready to go soon, but I think my growout tank is a bit crowded so some are much smaller. I will spread them out more next time if I get as many - there must be 100 babies.

These are some that I left in with the parents, and are much bigger and more robust than the ones in the fry growout tank:

Frank & Agnes coming over to investigate:

These are the babies in the growout tank - I got mainly silvers, but a few golds:

Thats cool! Nice to see them at that size... I sold the babies when they were less than quarter size before!

I had about 25% of the golds when they spawned for me....

I would say it is barely 10% golds this spawn, but all of the fish look really good to me, with very few culls. They had another spawn, but I don't know if the babies ate the eggs or what, because they were gone the next day. Fin & Feather on Broad has expressed an interest in them (they told me quarter-sized), so I'll see what they'll give me for some of the bigger ones, and then there will be more room for the smaller ones to get caught up. It has been great watching them grow.

The striped ones have beautiful patterns on them! They look like wilds almost! Nice to see the genetic characteristics going backwards with that pair!

They dont do bad at all! ;)

I used to sell them to that store.... about $2-$5 a pop and they will take up to about 20 at a time.... Angels MOVE in pet stores! :)

I traded though with them that is why the values were so different... I just offered them what I had in exchange for something they had.... it all varied depended on what I wanted... sometimes I sold them short... others I walked away really well!

Let me know if or when you take them to Fin and Feather. Thats the store I get my fish from and I wouldnt mind having one or two of those.

Better yet, maybe I can get with you and buy a few from you directly before they get exposed to the water at the LFS. I'm in the west end of Richmond and live right around the corner from Fin and Feather on Broad Street. I am definitely interested.....

I would be more than happy to deal with you directly - no point in parking them at the LFS for a time. Shoot me a PM when you are ready. The biggest ones have bodies (not including fins) around dime-sized. I have many, many more that are smaller, but if you have a place for them that they are not in danger of being eaten then I'd part with them smaller than dime-sized.

I have a 45 gallon hex with an Angel in it that is a little bigger than an quarter. I also have a 20 long with a swordtail and a platy that I can relocate.
