So turns out i'm alergic to bloodworms
so recently the past couple times after feeding my fish bloodworms my eyes start to itch and turn red and my throat becomes like a scratchy feeling. I told my mom and she said it's most likley the bloodworms as it happens right after i feed them to my fish. Anybody else ever had this happen to them?

really, never knew that, it causes my eyes to itch so bad, i hate it, so thankfully my paretns have alergy meds lying around so i just took one right after it started so now my eyes are better, and im sucking on a cough drop right now for my throat and both are doing better but eyes are still itchy as with the throat

Your best bet would be to avoid them completely or use gloves/tongs to handle them.

i have a pair of tweezers that i use for my crickets, my only problem is that i need to touch them because i cut one of the cubes in half and my parents wont touch the bloodworms, even though there dead. Guess i'm alergic to two things now, raspberries and bloodworms. Well i've got to go i'll be back tomorrow morning, hopefully i find some gloves by the next time i feed them

What is it in the blood worms that causes the allergic reaction? Have you ever tried brine shrimp? My fish absolutely love them.

havent tried it out yet, but i used gloves last time i fed the fish, and didn't have any reaction, so i guess what i'll do is finnish the packet of bloodworms, since i only have a little bit left, and when im out i'll get the brine shrimp, then try that without gloves

It common for people to have allergy to a protein that is with in the blood worms, so brine shrimp should be safe to use, even if you have allergies to the blood worm I would still keep them in your fish's diet but may be cut back on how often you feed them bloom worms and replace your normal blood worm feeding with brine shrimp or from tubfliex worms.

(I think I'm mildly allergy to them too, but in not bad so I don't care.)

ohhh ok, with using gloves im ok, so i should be ok with keeping them on bloodworms, but i may switch to brine shrimp to give them more of a variety
