    ASTATOTILAPIA LATIFASCIATA
    Also: Haplochromis sp. "Zebra obliquidens"

    Family:Cichlid, Cichlidae.
    Characteristics:5.25 in, male larger and bright in color.
    Tank/Water:75g, water types 4-6, 76-81F.
    Care:Keep one or many males together with several females in well-lit tanks with large-leaved plants and some rocks. Feed all standard foods, especially food containing small crustaceans.
    Habits:Known to be native only to Lake Nawampasa in Uganda. Considered "threatened" in the wild. Not pair-forming; maternal mouthbrooder.
    Compatibility:With cichlid species from Lake Victoria, such as Paralabidochromis and Pundamilia species.
