    Hi all
I have been raising a batch of juvenile electric blue Haps for a few months now,
however I am trying to turbocharge ther growth as i am looking to sell them on to my LFS, they seem very happy in the tank they are in however the ph is'nt very alkaline at all.
if i was to put a bunch of shell grit in the canister filter to increase the ph would that aid in the speed of their growth?
    cheers

pH shouldn't have anything to do with their growth. Just do lots of water changes and feed a good staple food.

They are carnivores, so some shrimp pellets, or blood worms, ( live or frozen) should be to their liking, along with a staple diet of flakes or cichlid crisps. Keep up with the water changes and they will grow out as fast as they can.

i agree with this and also increase their food intake and give them more light time along with the increased food and they should grow like crazy

I have been feeding them on krill 3 times a day and pellets in between and about 16 hours light a day.

the brine shrimp is a great idea cheers it will save me fine chopping all this krill :) .
