Youre going to love this! LoL I went to Best Buy and they didn't have the Dell ibwanted but they did have a very nice looking HP that Im considering. It's a DV model though, the Special Edition. It has a 4.5 rating out of 5 from 19 reviewers.

Maybe the problem is just with the HP model that you and your friends got.

I figured if I bought it from Best Buy I have 30 days to return it if I had any problems.

true, but if it goes down after the 30 days then you'll have to send it out.
i've had mine sent out 4x in a yr. and they didn't even get it right. i had to do it myself.....and so far so good (fingers crossed)

I had an emachine one time and had insurance on it. I got it from Best Buy. They came in and fixed it 3 times the fouth time they came I told them I didn't want it anymore and they told me to take it to Best Buy and pick out another machine that was priced close to that one and I got a compaq. Of course they were laptops. I do have a Toshiba Lap top that I bought in Nov 06 and I dont' even use it, and I had it insured for 3 years. It is a nice laptop but I just don't like the laptops.

Im sure you do more with a computer than I do, but I buy the cheapest (within reason) dell I can find and use them for a year and then basically switch to the next. I find laptops dont last much more than that anyway, and its always nice to get soemthing new!

Yeah I do a lot of photo editing and stuff on mine. My last laptop was a bit over 2000.00. The HP I looked at was only 950.00 on sale which I thought was a great price for what it had in it.

I've never seen a CD/DVD that was "lightscribed".

I think I'm going to try it and see how it goes. I just have to pull 1000.00 from somewhere. :)

Im going to get the HP special editing and hope I don't have any issues with it. After looking at the Dells they looked cheap to me.
