    BANJO CATFISH
    Also: Bunocephalus bicolor

    Family:Banjo catfish, Aspredinidae.
    Characteristics:5 in, female plumper.
    Tank/Water:12.5g, water types 2-5, 77-83F.
    Care:Relatively small tanks are adequate for these relatively inactive fish. Sand or leaves imporatnat as substrate, since they enjoy burrowing there. Feed worms and small live foods.
    Habits:Leaf layer or sand in calm waters of the Amazon system. They mold periodically.
    Compatibility:Only with medium-sized fish of the mid-regions of the tank; small ones may be eaten.
    Similar species:Bunocephalus knerii, 6 in.
