    Family:Tetras, Characidae.
Characteristics:2 in, female plumper and less colorful.
    Tank/Water:25g, water types 2-5, 76-83F.
Care:As a school of at least eight specimens in dark tanks, densely planted in parts. Fine dry and frozen foods.
Habits:Very common schooling fish found mainly in slow flowing and standing waters in Amazonia and Guyana. The reflecting spot on the caudal fin base is visible even in dark waters and may play a role in keeping the school together.
