Don't block me MOD :( I have a specific question and I"m too lazy to find the betta page DX. So as I said smwhere before. My betta's been eating my otto's algae pellets recently. He rips it to shreds, makes a huge mess that's impossible to clean up and probably eats way too much of it. How do I stop this behaviour? Bettas are carnivours so this can't be healthy... can it? I think betta's going full chub chub due to these stupid pellets, should I feed him less flakes and bio-gold to thin him down? I feed my betta two bio-golds and ehh I try to give him only 4 or so flakes a day, he usually manages to get 7 :(. Help me get my fatso betta on a diet that works!

It really won't harm him to eat algae waffers. Bettas should be fed pellets ideally and not flake food.

Unless he's becoming bloated I wouldn't worry about him eating too much.

What you can do is put the algae waffers/pellets in the tank at night when the lights are off so the betta cannot see them. The ottos will be able to find them as they scavenge the tank.

As long as you're giving him a good quality pellet food daily there's no problem with him eating the algae wafers

D8 The algae pellet disappeared. Gulp* I'm having a bad feeling about how bloated Mr.Betta's getting. I'll try the night thing though. 1 am is a good time for me XD
