    They do look similar to Sparkling Gouramis. Their dorsal fin is different though.

    These are wild caught Betta Simplex I can assure you :) Can't wait to see if they breed, I will be interested to see a mouth brooding betta in action.

    Their mouth brooders ? I didn't know that. I assume then the male and female can be housed together too or no ?

    Yes they are mouth brooders with the male carrying the fry. I am housing three pairs in a 29 so yes the males can be housed with the females.

    oh I didn't mean anything by it...just that I think my lfs may have what they are carrying labeled wrong :eek: Not that it would really suprise me though :)
