    BLACK-BANDED LEPORINUS

    Family:Headstanders, Anostomidae.
    Characteristics:12 in, hard to sex.
    Tank/Water:250g, water types 2-5, 76-83F.
    Care:AS a group (at least five specimens) in large unplanted aquariums furnished with plenty of roots to add structure. Individuals often aggressive. Feed green foods and frozen animal foods.
    Habits:Agile swimmer found in fast flowing waters in rocky stretches in Amazonia, where it forages for plant and animal foods.
    Compatiblity:With large South American fish such as silver dollars, large cichlids, and catfish.
