    BLACK MOLLY

    Family:Live-bearing toothcarp, Peocilidae.
Characteristics:3-5 in, male has a copulatory organ.
    Tank/Water:25g, water types 5-6, 79-85F.
Care:Warmth-loving fish that should be kept in groups in densely planted aquariums with plenty of swimming space. Feed primarilly plant matter, as well as dry food. Sometimes susceptible to disease; adding salt often helps (water type 7).
Habits:The original form is from a group of fish found in fresh and brackish waters in Central America.
Compatibility:Good companion fish, but only if proper water values (temperature, type) are maintained.
