    BLEHER'S RAINBOWFISH

    Family:Rainbowfish, Melanotaeniidae.
    Characteristics:5.5 in, male more colorful, many color variants among males.
    Tank/Water:87.5g, water types 4-6, 77-83F.
    Care:Bright, ideally sunny tanks with loose plantings along the sides and plenty of open swimming space. Feed all smallish to medium-sized foods.
    Habits:Schooling fish from the plant-rich shore area of Lake Bira in New Guinea. Males display the most beautiful colors in the morning hours.
    Compatibility:Larger gobies, but also barbs, characins, peaceful cichlids, and catfish.
