    BLUE GULARIS
    Also: Aphyosemion sjoestedti

    Family:Killifish of the family Aplocheilidae.
    Characteristics:3.5-5.5 in, male far more colorful.
    Tank/Water:25g, water types 2-4, 74-81F.
    Care:One male with several females in dark tanks, densely planted in parts. Use roots to provide retreats for the often hotly courted females. Feed highly nutritious live food.
    Habits:Native to swampy water bodies that partially dry up during the dry season in West Cameroon's coastal lowlands. Only the eggs survive in teh dried-out bottom until the rainy season ("seasonal fish").
    Compatibility:Not suitable for community tanks.
