Breeding pair suggestions for a 125g

    title basically explains it, I have a 125 that needs additional stocking and was thinking about doing a large breeding pair. Looking for fish with attitude, color, and personality.

    125 is a lot of room... I knew a guy that used to breed African Cichlids... That would be pretty cool...

    I think I remember Nelson saying he didn't want to do Africans again. He wants man eating fish. :)

    you are correct! Im looking for a couple of CA/SA cichlids (may consider frontosa trio), that are around 12" max.

    Fronts would look really nice in there. Maybe do a black background and 1 actinic light on the tank to make them glow.

    Would they get along with the 9" pim catfish thats in there? Also, would they like the sand/crushed gravel bottom?

    They should be fine with the catfish. From what I remember when I belonged to another forum most Front keepers used sand.
