    BROWN PENCILFISH
    Also: Nannobrycon eques

    Family:Lebiasinidae.
    Characteristics:2 in, female plumper.
    Tank/Water:12.5g, water types 2-4, 79-85F.
    Care:Dark tanks with floating stem plants, thin roots. No water movement. Feed small insects, black mosquito larvae, dry foods.
    Habits:Distinctive fish found near the surface of quiet rivers and lakes in the Amazon region, where it apparently eats insects. Slant-swimmer.
    Compatibility:As a surface fish, good with demanding small fish of the Amazon that inhabit the lower tank regions.

    Note: Has thin elongated body
