can someone help me with some info on these fish Aulonocara baenschi, Aulonocara stuartgranti, Eretmodus cyanostictus, Pseudotropheus polit, Haplochromis sp., 'Lamprologus' ocellatus, 'Lamprologus' caudopunctatus, Haplochromis sp. "Ruby Green" .

I was wondering if any of them can live in a 29 gal tall? my water is hard and has a ph of 7.8 (i think, i know its high). i really do like Haplochromis sp. "Ruby Green"

The Lamprologus' may work but they ideally would need a pH of 8.4-8.6. You'll also only be able to get a trio of them.

Eh a 29 gallon tank isn't going to allow you too many options

Either of the two you listed. That also puts you in the same boat at the Angels though, with improper pH.

Everything else you listed will be too big. Generally African Cichlids need long tanks, 4'+.

Pelvicachromis pulcher MAY work. They have a wide range of acceptable pH levels. About 5.0 to 8ish.

I looked around a bit more... You may be able to do a trio of the Haplochromis sp. "Ruby Green". It would have to be 1 male and two females, no other combination !

I agree with everyone Anthony said
Experience is needed to suffessfully adjust pH and keep it stable

I've done okay with the Ocelattus at that PH, but they're shellies and tend to stay toward the bottom of the tank.
    Maybe look at some Vickies?
There's some amazing color, and they're tough as nails. A BIG responsibility, as they're almost gone in the wild, but if I had tank space, I'd be doing some.

I'd think a trio of any of the Haps would work. I've kept the Hippo Point salmons, and they're gorgeous. Ruby greens are stunning also.
