im starting a new 10 gallon tank especially designated for corydoras, i need to get small size gravel, plants (any ideas, java fern, swords, etc..), and i would like a big piece of wood or stick, you know you see that in a lot of tanks, should i use sponge or regular filter? i dont know but does anyone know a good site for plants or that wood. plus landscaping ideas. Dont worry im not a beginner i have been a succesful fish keeper for over 2 years, love cories, and have done all the research imagineable, because i love them.

[*]CaribSea Tahitian Moon Soon for Substrate (PetSolutions..bonus $5 off $50 with code THKY if you don't have it in your area==Sometimes Petsmart gets it in)
    [*]Crypt Wendtii for plants (aquariumplants.com)
[*]Driftwood-can mount to slate using galvanized screws to prevent it from floating (place the mounted driftwood 1st then your substrate)
[*]Regular filter will be fine since they stay at the bottom other than the occas. trip to the surface
[*]Air stone or Air disc (mine love "riding" the bubbles to the top at night)
[*]Drop the water cooler by a few degrees to trigger spawning>>fry will eat algae tabs, canned no sodium french cut green beans, blanched cucumber
[*]oh, and mine just adore the coconut huts ;)

can do that too>>mount it to slate with galvanized screws
substrate ON TOP of the slate to hold it in place
Purigen or carbon filtration to remove the tannins if Not done ahead of time

hover about 1/2 inch above it with a siphon
<--I use the python no spill clean n' fill system (love the fact that you don't have to plunge it up and down to "prime" it)

    can always do that too.
I do the python also because I have a large tank in addition to the 10g (and the old backbreaking bucket days are thankfully a thing of the past)!

<--used to always do the buckets and had to carry them outside and dump them down the street with a 55g (python is a god send to me) haha!
