got my first fish in my tank and he is making a mess, the water was crystal clear and now it looks like milk again, all he does is swirl his tail in the sand and he is even starting to cove my live rock with sand, and he gives the hermits hell picking them up and dropping them, is this normal for a damsel or do i just have a retarded one? and if i sale him what would be another good hardy fish to begin with that won't destroy my tank

What kind and how big is he ? Damsels are pretty aggressive, especially when they get larger.

While I'm not sure how likely it is, it is possible it could be a hybrid. I can't seem to find anything that looks exactly like that. The last one I posted looked the closest to me.

Your best bet is to give him away to someone or the fish store then. Especially in that size tank you won't be able to add anything in there with him.

Pee Wee that damsel you have looks like the second pic anthony posted, in my opinion. Yours just has a little more yellow farther into the body.

it probably isn't a damsel it is probably a royal gramma the top half of the body is purple and the tail is yellow i have one i my tank. and he can be a lil jerk sometimes but my sixlibe wrasse keeps him inline
