Well, I finally picked up 4 more of these guys today. They are quite a bit older, so they have nice coloration. Two of the ones I picked up were from another store, and didn't have the nice dark red line, but as soon as I introduced them to the rest of the school, they colored up really quickly. These pictures do not do them justice by any means. Now I need to get a lot more plants and make more caves.

I've seen those types of barbs at my local lfs, I was iffy on buying them because I knew nothing about them?
Are they aggressive? Any info you can provide on them would prove helpful.
    Thanks~

Thanks for the info, I think I'll pass for now until I hear how they do in a planted setup (worried they may be plant munchers)....mouthwise not worried about them eating any of the fish.

Yea, supposedly they will munch on more delicate plants (thinner leaves etc.) I guess incorporating cucumber or zucchini into their diet is also a good idea.

Took a video of them swimming around the tank. You can also see the Swords and the Loaches. I can't wait to get more caves and plants in the tank...

Did you catch the comment I left about the clown loaches getting up to 1' in length? Your going to have problems with them in a 55g once they start to grow...unless you have a larger tank/someone to transfer them to.
