Do Your Plants Pearl?

    Do your plants pearl? What does it take to get them to pearl? Do only certain types pearl oxygen?

    Mine never do. I think it takes a perfect amount of cO2 and fertilizers, something I can never figure out. :)

    Pearling is when plants produce enough oxygen that it creates little "pearls", or air bubbles on it's leaves.

    Yeah, that's how I feel. As long as their green, they're alive and I don't care how much oxygen they create.

    Mine didn;t but I didn't have them for long.... Next time though, it'll be different!

    That pic was taken from a 10g that shared a 65w 10k PC light with another 10g (side by side). I used jello DIY C02...

    It's E. Tenellus in case you're wondering.

    beautiful!!!! i'm not into the freshwater anymore and it actually has been a long time since i've had a planted tank but the pic makes me want to go back
    to my roots....lol.
