Dragonfish (Questions & Advice)

    Dragonfish
    Dragon fish Saw some of these guys at my LFS and man they are cool/bizzare any one ever kept these guys sorry I did not look up the latin name but they are not african birchirs they are almost scaleless and have a grey body. I will look up the latin name and repost it. If know one knows what I am refering to. Thanks B

    Yep, had one that I got at petsmart for about $5...lasted several months in a freshwater setup. They're difficult to feed since they can't see...you have to target feed them things such as bloodworms.

    they sell them here at the local wal-mart. tiny tiny lil eyes... i know walmart feeds them bloodworms and tiny fry.

    OH!!! and they do escape. i was talking to the walmart fish guy and he said one time 1 escaped and everyone in the pet aisle was screaming b/c they thought it was a snake- hehee

    Thanks guys yea the one thing they had listed on the tank was they ate live food or frozen brine shrimp only. Cool looking fish though and UGLY with capital U!

    Dragon fish are (Gobioides broussonetti) also known as violet goby. I finaly got off my fanny and looked it up. I am thinking of getting one. I am waying the pros and cons.
