   i was doing some research and found out that people that filter feeder(clam) dont use skimmer on there tank. i was thinking of going this route. instead of buying a $250 skimmer. i wanna have some clam on the bottom to eat the Protein. i got this idea from this site:

   Clams require a lot of light and and generally dificult to care for. trajikink has one I think, he'll be able to help you.
