I want to think about putting live plants in my 10 gallon aquarium. Here's my questions:

    1. Can I put plants in there if I have fish already in there?

    2. Are there plants that do well with just gravel on the bottom of the tank? If so, what are they?

    Thanks

    1) Yes

    2) Java moss and Java fern are two plants that are very easy to grow.

Swords are REALLY easy plants to grow... I have some in my 55 gallon tank and the water is VERY dark and the lighting is VERY low... they are still doing good...

Amazon Swords are the strain that do best... you DO need fertilizer tabs though to keep them healthy....

You can grow pretty much any plant in any substrate. What will matter though is lighting and fertilizing.
