    Gouramis: How do I tell if they are male or female?

    :D I have two beautiful Gouramis. I'm not sure what kind they are or what sex they are? How do I tell if they are male or female :confused:

    please be mindful of the sectin that you are posting in gouramis are labrynth fish, or anabantoids not cichlids

    that said venting is the only way i know of

    The top fins should tell you if its a male or female in most cases. Longer and pointed is male whereas shorter and round is female.

    its been moved hawkpilot, thats why its no longer in the cichlid section, thats why it matters.
