I currently house a shrimp only tank with CBS and CRS along with one Cherry (that number seems to be soon to change due to a visible saddle). Also have a second tank with 2 guppies, 2 neon tetras, 2 peacock goby's, and 2 kinds of loaches. Pics will come soon so keep an eye out for my extremely amatuer photography!

Thanks Dawn! And yes the shrimp scene has taken me captive! I have plenty of pics just got to get them posted. I started a thread in the photos section of my tank and I will be putting most of the pics there as well.

No Shrimps in my house, but sure would love a colony of them one of these days.

Hi Alleycat! I have found that our selection to dwarf freshwater shrimp is quite limited here in Ohio. These little guys are such a joy to have once the water parameters are all in line.

There's a few folks around here that are breeding several varities, and buy and sell on aquagarbage... I mean aquabid. facepalm

I believe there's a fellow north of Columbus that's heavy into them too, but is moving to Minnesota soon. What type are you hunting for?

If you're up for a drive there's a great aquatic event going on in Cinci this Saturday that will have many types of fish/shrimp etc.. available. You can find some details about here:

If you go to their forum you'll find who's bringing what ... and where. :)

    Won't CRS & CBS interbreed?

Of course they will. If the crossbreed even has an effect your looking at a 50% Red and 50% Black situation.

Awesome! def. let me know what you find. Yes, Aquarium Adventure is about 5 min away from my place so I frequent there quite often. I have spoke with a manager there and even plan on offloading some shrimp to them from time to time. I consider myself quite lucky to have them as my LFS! I do believe i can supply them with better quality CRS than they have been getting. But I did purchase my mama CBS there who has now givin me two batches in the past 2 months! :D

I got some really nice ones for a great price from a guy that sells on aquabid. I contacted him asking him if he bred anything else and he gave me better prices than the listings he had going on. Shipped fast and was very nice to work with.
Not sure if he's still selling, but here's a link in case--> Seller Ark - Freshwater Shrimp
