Hello from Richmond, VA

    Found this website on Craigslist and thought I would check it out. I have a 55 gallon tank with a rather large Redtail Catfish in it. I had it posted on Craigslist and came across this site.

    How big is he ? Red Tail Catfish need huge tanks.

    Welcome. Yeah they need a good 1000+ (if I remember correctly) gallon tank when they're adults

    I'm not sure if you got my last reply. Its about 12 inches long and less than a year old. Growing too fast for my tank. Really pretty fish though. Eats krill right out of your hand...

    I am. Haven't caught a lot of interest on craigslist. I traded a medium sized Tiger Shovelnose for him when I got him. The store I bought him from would have given store credit for him but they closed down...

    Oh okay. Good luck with finding him a good home. Hopefully someone will show some interest that can give him a pond to live in.

    Yeah, that would be the ideal situation... I've had a lot of Cichlids in the past. I think I might put some tropical fish in it once I find the Redtail a new home...

    I would like to get $50 for him. I'm definitely willing to negotiate the price. He's outgrowing the tank pretty quickly..
