It's nine minutes long so just scroll through if you wish. The pleco comes out around 4:30. I don't know what kind he is.

I am not sure about the ID of the stripped cichlid like the blue zebra, the catfiish and the big pleco. Pretty sure I have IDd the rest. Any observations about male/female too, would be great.

the big pleco looks like a common pleco and what size is your tank ? this pleco can get to 18 inch plus.
blue stripped african could be a melanochromis johannii - need a clearer shot of it.
oscars and the africans should not be mixed in the same tank - different water requirements. the oscars will eventually tear up your live plants you have in there.
the frogs should not be in there either, oscars will grow faster and will have them as a snack and the africans might go after them as well.
    just my observation.

after seeing another one of you videos from another post, i think that one of your africans could also be a melanochromis auratus.

Thanks very much Guidoman and buzz. It's a long 55 gal tank. We will be putting together a larger tank soon for the Oscars. So I am off to look up their water requirements as I was under the impression they needed the same type of setting (fish store talk) and Ph. Do you think the pleco and Oscars in a larger tank would work.

I watch this tank, a lot, and I hadn't seen any undue interest toward the frogs. (Somone on a yahoo question forum told me the frogs would not EAT with the mainganos in the tank, yet they are eating and coming out to do it.) Last night we decided to remove the floating plants (yay). After that, I noticed the Oscars eyeing the corners of the tank where the frogs hide. The way they were snopping around looked predatory. I get the feeling they would eat them now if they could fit them in their mouth. So yes, the pressure for the new tank is on.

Oscars will prettymuch eat them when they feel so, The oscars need a big tank sinch they grow up to be huge (20'') or so.I dont know about the pleco. The pleco grows pretty big. So the oscar will probadly not consider it as dinner, Gotta wait for other people for that :)
