help on lighting

    ok well mt 10 gal light is out or acting up. the light still comes on but it flickers, and some times doesnt work. i dont know if its the bulb or the little white thing? i need some help. i dont want to go to the store and have no idea what to buy. please let me know.

    How old is the fixture/bulb ?

    um... um... not very sure. maybe 6 or 7 years. i think. its old.

    if you have a electric store I'd simply take the fixture and have them check it.
    They'd be able to replace the starters their and the bulb and sell you only what you actually need.

    I've done that with a 48" fixture before @ sunray electrics...not sure what you have in you area though.

    well my bday is this weekend so i may just up and get a new tank. i have been looking

    no. my ex gave my 55 away. and the 5 is in the barn with dead plants.

    I know my petco is still doing the $1 per gallon sale (which confused me a bit cuz I thought it was over already)...if not I'd go craigslist and get yourself 1 nice sized one...easier schedule wise imo to do 1 tank rather than several smaller tanks (but that's just me I guess).

    55 was a nice size...lots of options there!
