Hey I am new at this forum

    I have liked aquariums since i was 10 years old. I have just in the past three months set up a 46 gallon freshwater tank. I was wanting to try a saltwater tank on a smaller scale such as a 29 gallon.

    Welcome to the forum. What type of freshwater fish do you have in the tank now ?
    A 29 gallon saltwater tank has a few options as far as fish goes.

    I have swordtails, mollies, barbs, gourami, catfish, and angelfish in my freshwater. The saltwater is something I would like to try. I have a 29 gallon tank but other than that I have no clue. I read something about a protein skimmer. I looked at the price and it was real high so I don't know what I am going to do.

    I have a protein skimmer for sale if you'd be interested in it. Other than that you can look on the forum in the saltwater section and read up on what's in there. If you have any other questions feel free to start a new topic in that area.

    welcome...i'm new also and this is already my favorite forum! my last tank,10 yrs ago, was a29 gal saltwater. it was running for a year, then i lost my livestock durig a mid-december move in new england! so sad. but it's expensive, so i've decided to go with freshwater planted this time around. i may delve into salt again when my daughters have grown up and moved out!
