Hello everyone! I am a newbie to the fish experience. Have two fantail gold fish in a 10 gallon tank with a 10-30 Whisper filter. Have trouble with it clouding up on me. Did not realize there was so much to this venture until I found this site. I'm sure I will figure it out soon.Thank you for this site! [cya]

Welcome! Usually cloudy water is an imbalance of nutrients/waste in your water due to not enough water changes... it could also be too many water changes. Balance is the keyword to this hobby!

By the way, Fantail goldfish need MUCH more space than a 10 gallon tank! A 55 is better for them. I used to keep them in a pond that I built and mine were 10 inches long and a little over a pound each... mind you that is years of growth but that is their adult size!

I know when they start getting bigger they will need more room. One is 2" long and the other 3" long. My daughter gave me the tank and I am looking around for another one. Just wanted to make sure I could successfully take care of them before I go to all that expense. Thanks!
