    8 and 10.... and were severely ticked we had to take the goldfish back but it was for the best...and I really didn't want to have 11 fish funerals...

    The youngest insisted that the reason the fish were having problems was because we didn't have live plants...that's how the plants came into play...but that actually hasn't turned out bad except for the bad purchase of the Kyoto but the Wisteria is actually growing to my surprise...

    But now they are bugging to put fish in the tank, they are tired of looking at lava rocks and plants because they are 'boring"...so I'm researching

    Oh okay. Between the three of you you'll be able to successfully keep fish in no time !

    The forum is kid friendly if you want to let them do some reading as well.

    That's good to know...I'll put the 8 year old to work since he's so full of bright ideas on what is and is not good for the fish in his care...LOL...maybe I can get him to take on a job to buy the supplies...but that may be pushing it...
