Well someone feels better today as I have TONS of babies...LOL!! They are all so cute. They are happily swimming around playing. The tank has cleared up so nicely now. The bacteria bloom is gone and the perameters are wonderful.

Well it has been about a month for a couple Mommas in my tank. One is ready to pop. Two of my new ones came PG (not happy about that) and so i have no idea when to expect fry from them. It is fun to get babies but you need to be careful. I put nylon on my filter stacks to keep them from getting sucked up. That requires me to clean the nylon daily.

Guppies generally give birth every 28 days.

Plus, I swear they are always preggo. It seems they give birth and then are knocked up again immediately.

They hold sperm for about 3 pregnancies so technically as soon as they give birth, they are pregnant again. :)

Supposedly they can store in for 6 months before it dies. Mine must lik being PG as they stay that way. I really hate getting PG females as I have no idea who fathered up to 3 batches af fry. Drives me crazy.

Yeah, not many fish stores keep the males and females separate.

Lol, I have babies coming out of my filter..literally! Lol. Was just doing my monthly filter rinse down and found a lone guppy baby. Lucky lil bugger is now back in the main tank. Although I'm sure the xp4 canister was like a swimming pool for him/her. Guppies anyone? Lol!

Awe, now that just aint right. I have this schedule...partials on thursday and filters cleaned either the end of the month or the first of the month. Helps me remember when and what was done.

I am always afraid of sucking them up in the filters...LOL!! That is why I use the nylons. Poor lil baby.

I write everything down in a little fish calendar. Filter cleaning is the one thing I didn't put in it. :) I know it wasn't THAT long ago, maybe a month max.

Lol, it's okay. I use my main calendar and just jot it on the corner next to the date.
