OK, This is the first time hearing endler, what the heck is a endler. I have seen several pictures and they look like guppies, is that what they are?

Yes, sort of. They are also known as Endler's Guppies as the name Endler comes from the guy that found them

They are only found in a few locations in Venezuela.

Endler information can be found in this thread. <a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.theexoticfish.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3</a>

    Endler pictures can be found here. <a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.theexoticfish.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5</a>

They are not guppies. They are their own kind of fish.

The term "Endler's Guppies" is not correct though. That name implies that they are a type of guppy, which they are not.

Guppies are Poecilia reticulata, Endler's are Poecilia wingei.

Worse than guppies since their gestation period is slightly shorter. :)

Hi everyone, i'm wondering if we can mix endlers and guppies together? I have a tank of guppies and "don't have enough space for another tank" according to the wife...hihi.

    Re: just wondering

You can. If your Endler's are pure and you want to keep them that way then don't mix them because from that point on you will end up with hybrids.
