I have a 20 gal reef tank. I have been in the hobby for about two years. I will be upgrading to a 4 foot 120 soon ;) Not a good pic but here is a old pic from my phone

it's looking good, i'm planning on switching my puffer's 20 gallon to a fowlr, when i have the spare money, but right now i'm concentrating on my 46

also, what kind of skimmer do you have, i was starting to research hob skimmers for the 20 gall, and wasn't to sure what would be a good brand for the tank, i have a seaclone 100 on the tank and it's a POS and doesn't even skimm

I have a red sea prizm skimmer. But I would not suggest it. I would stick with the octo. I am going with the 220 when I get the 120. I have never heard bad things about them.

do you think the octo 100 would work ok for a 20

also what kind of lighting do you have on yours, that was another thing i was looking at

Yes that would be a great skimmer for that size tank. I have a nova extream. 4 24 watt t5 on a 20 high.

ok, i'll check into the lights also

i think i'll actually look into the 2 bulb one as i don't plan to have corals in his tank, and i saw the 2 bulb for only $60

Is it a 20 high or long? Are you keeping this tank for just the puffer or something else?

The two bulb would be fine if you want to do some low light softies with the puffer.

NO first and get them young. You want them to establish there home first other wise they will fight for one they want.
