Ok... Here is day one in the new tank... they are kind of shy right now and stressed, well they were just moved 30 minutes earlier... Also the tank is a bit cloudy.

I give them 2 options for spawning sites, the sword and the cone... I dont know what they will pick... knowing my luck they will spawn of the filter intake :)

Crap! I did not submit the photo :)

I dont want them spawning on the intake OR the heater!!! I do have about 4 extra pumps and a few extra heaters so I COULD do it either way.. :)

the cone is a place they can breed... Discus breed on vertical surfaces... the cone being slightly slanted is ideal for them... usually discus spawn on inverted clay pots at pro breeders tanks

I dont have a clay pot... My angelfish used this exact cone a few times so I know it will work

I got rid of the cone today actually... it did not work.. I took the piece of driftwood that they wanted to spawn on out of the 125 and put it in the tank with them... they acted completely different in a good way once they came out of the shock!

I do too!.... we will see and I will keep everyone posted... gotta get a picture of the tank how it is with the driftwood in it...

As soon as I put it in the tank the female changed colors and dropped her stress bars... she looked like "ahh.... my wood!" lmao

The male is picking at the driftwood again and shaking... also he is bumping the females belly... she does not seem so sure yet... hopefully it will be soon but I think getting rid of the cone and putting in the driftwood that they were trying to use in the display tank was a good idea! :D
